Georgian and Hungarian Competition Agencies sign bilateral cooperation memorandum

The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) and the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) have signed a Memorandum of Bilateral Cooperation in Budapest.

Agency Chair Irakli Lekvinadze signed the agreement to strengthen institutional ties, foster close future collaboration, exchange expertise, and promote the development of fair and competitive markets across the region.

Additionally, in collaboration with the GCCA, the Hungarian Competition Authority organised a training visit.

During this visit, both sides discussed challenges related to online trading, control and enforcement mechanisms, dawn raids, and issues concerning response and behaviour.

Accompanying Irakli Lekvinadze on the Hungarian visit were Salome Kavtaradze, Head of the GCCA’s Legal Department, and Giorgi Kedelidze, Head of the Strategic Markets Monitoring Department.
