Georgian Ambassador participates in Organization of American States meeting

Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, participated in a meeting of the Organization of American States  (OEA/OAS).

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the newly elected Secretary General of the organization, Albert Ramdin, presented the strategic priorities for 2025–2030, focusing on multidimensional security, integrated development, strengthening democracy, and human rights.

Taliashvili addressed the meeting, noting that cooperation with American states is one of the key priorities of Georgia’s foreign policy. She emphasized the importance of the OAS in fostering and strengthening these relations. The Ambassador also congratulated Albert Ramdin on his election as Secretary General and wished him success in his future work.

The Foreign Ministry added that Taliashvili presented Ramdin with a note of accreditation, confirming Georgia’s status as a permanent observer in the organization.
