Georgia to host 2027 UN Tourism Innovation Forum at Kutaisi Technology Hub

“Georgia has reached a milestone agreement with UN Tourism to host the global UN Tourism Innovation Forum in 2027 at the newly established Kutaisi Technology Hub,” Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili announced in Kutaisi.

The announcement followed a high-level site visit to the Kutaisi Technology Hub by Kvrivishvili and UN Tourism Secretary-General Sheikha Nasser Al Nuwais, during which they met with local tech founders and innovative startup teams.

“Crucially, as part of this visit, we reached a formal agreement with the Secretary-General for Georgia to host the UN Tourism Innovation Forum in 2027 right here at the Kutaisi Technology Hub. This represents a major international initiative and milestone event for our nation.

It will significantly elevate Georgia’s global tourism profile, catalyse our domestic technological and innovation ecosystem, and provide local entrepreneurs with direct access to global corporate networks,” Mariam Kvrivishvili stated.

According to the Economy Ministry, the Minister added that hosting the international forum will welcome leading global tech firms and investors to Georgia, marking another major step in the country’s international standing.
