Georgia reported the first case of death from COVID-19 infection – Levan Ratiani, Director of First University Clinic told journalists.

A 79-year-old woman, placed at the clinic on March 31, died from novel coronavirus and accompanied health complications. The patient belonged to Marneuli-Bolnisi cluster.

“The woman was in critical condition. Any virus infection can aggravate health condition of such a patient, unfortunately, with high probability of lethality,” Ratiani said.
