Georgia reports 537 coronavirus cases, 128 recoveries, 8 deaths

Georgia reported 537 coronavirus cases, 128 recoveries, and 8 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 290 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 79 cases and the Kakheti region with 37 cases.

A total of 29 652 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 22 203 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7 449 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1,81 %, while 1,52% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 275 685 among them, 268 693 people recovered and 3 658 died.

There are 206 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1 376 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 133 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
