Georgia has reported 1,663 coronavirus cases, 769 recoveries, and 13 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.
35,559 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 18,254 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,305 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 988 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Kakheti region with 122 cases and the Imereti region with 121 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 381,336, among them, 361,327 people recovered and 5,492 died.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4,68%, while 4,1% in the past 14 days.
There are 54 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3,753 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 952 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 721 critical patients, 175 require mechanical ventilation.
