Georgia reported 1 053 coronavirus cases, 2 067 recoveries, and 7 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 447 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 143 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 99 cases.

A total of 21 614 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 19 284 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2 330 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4, 87%, while 7, 19% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 643 295, among them 1 601 578 people recovered and 16 678 died.

As of March 22, 2 844 372 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 1 661 in a day.
