Georgia remains attractive partner for investors, Economy Minister says
“Despite the challenging environment in the region caused by the geopolitical situation, Georgia retains high confidence in its economy. The Q1 2022 data showed the highest growth in foreign direct investments (FDI),” said Minister of Economy Levan Davitashvili on Monday.
According to him, FDI in Georgia amounted to USD 568,2 million in Q1 2022, USD 435,7 million (4.3 times) higher year-on-year.
“This shows that despite regional risks, Georgia stays an attractive partner for investors. The investments significantly increased from the EU, the US, Turkey, China and the Netherlands,” he added.
