Georgia makes voluntary contribution in support of CoE projects

The Georgian government made a voluntary contribution in support of the projects of the Council of Europe in the amount of 500 000 Euro within the framework of Georgia’s Chairmanship priorities of the Committee of Ministers at the CoE – Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

Georgia will be Chairman of Committee of Ministers at the Council of Europe during the period from November 27, 2019, to May 15, 2020. The chairmanship was handed over to Georgia from France on November 27.

Georgia will have 4 priorities as Chairman: 1. human rights and environment protection; 2. civil engagement in decision-making process; 3. jurisdiction oriented on children; and 4. strengthening of democracy with the engagement of education, culture and youth.
