Georgia hosts annual Interpol General Secretariat project MILLENNIUM conference

With the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and organised by the INTERPOL General Secretariat, Georgia is hosting the annual Conference of the INTERPOL General Secretariat Project MILLENNIUM on March 25-26.

The event was inaugurated by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Roni Meskhi, who addressed approximately 60 delegates from 25 countries invited to attend.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Meskhi highlighted the critical importance of international cooperation in countering transnational crime and underscored the longstanding, exemplary partnership between Georgia and INTERPOL.

The two-day conference convenes around 60 delegates from the Secretariat and member states, including representatives from the USA, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Poland, Israel, Italy, Armenia, Kazakhstan, France, the Netherlands, and others. Throughout the event, participants will discuss current challenges in the fight against transnational organised crime and explore avenues to strengthen international collaboration.

The INTERPOL General Secretariat Project MILLENNIUM is dedicated to combating transnational organised crime.
