MP Mikanadze: Georgia feels ongoing Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine harder

“Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine, which undermines Europe’s security and the rule of law, feels harder in Georgia, which has 20 per cent of its territory occupied by Russia,” member of the Permanent Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Givi Mikanadze addressed the Assembly Spring session.

Givi Mikanadze highlighted Georgia’s humanitarian and political aid to Ukraine. “We condemn Russia’s unjustified aggression against Ukraine,” he stressed.

The Member of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Georgia focused on Russia’s attempts to annex the occupied regions of Georgia.  He called on his European counterparts to express their unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
