Georgia extradites person to Italy on Interpol's Red Notice

Georgia handed over an individual accused of aiding a mafia organization, the Georgian General Prosecutor’s Office informed. Based on Interpol’s Red Notice, the extradition was made to Italy.

The Prosecutor’s Office said the person was engaged in money laundering, cyber swindling, illegal selling of drugs, and other crimes since 2015.

Officers of the Central Criminal Police arrested the wanted person in Tbilisi. The Tbilisi City Court ruled extradition in the person’s case on October 16, 2023.

The Prosecutor’s Office pledged readiness to cooperate with law enforcement agencies of partner states in the future in bringing wanted persons to justice.
