Georgia deports 21 foreign nationals in immigration enforcement effort
As part of recent comprehensive measures, employees of Georgia’s Migration Department, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and relevant agencies, have deported 21 foreign citizens from the country. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has issued an official statement on this operation.
According to the agency, the individuals deported originate from Turkey, Russia, Egypt, Iran, Turkmenistan, Colombia, China, India, Jordan, and Nigeria. Under current legislation, those deported have been prohibited from re-entering Georgia.
“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its key functions is to identify foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and to execute their deportation,” the Ministry stated.
