Georgia and Austria to sign agreement on mutual assistance in emergency situations

Georgia and Austria will soon sign an agreement on mutual assistance during emergency situations.

Giorgi Mghebrishvili, Head of Emergency Situations Management Service and Johann Bezdeka, Head of Austria’s Interior Ministry’s Department for Immigration Police, Crisis Management and Civil Protection made the decision during the meeting in Austria.

Mghebrishvili said that Emergency Situations Management Service would hold a Donors Conference where future action plan and needs would be considered.

“The strength of your service should show how a small country is coping with big risks and challenges,” Bezdeka stated.
