Parliamentary majority leader Irakli Kirtskhalia announced at a briefing following the majority session that the work on the constitutional lawsuit has now been finalised.

Kirtskhalia noted that Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili will provide a detailed explanation tomorrow regarding the lawsuit, which has been prepared based on the findings of the investigative commission.

“The majority session was held in an extended format, with our political team, the European Socialists, and People’s Power all present,” Kirtskhalia explained.

“The only issue on the agenda was the constitutional lawsuit. Work on the lawsuit has been finished, and it is now ready. We agreed with the political groups that, after today’s majority session, there would be no further explanations from the party office, and we would not go into any details at this stage.

Tomorrow morning, Shalva Papuashvili will hold a briefing at the Parliament building, where he will speak in detail about the completed and reconciled lawsuit. Since this matter involves not only Georgian Dream, we have decided that the Speaker will provide a comprehensive explanation directly from the Parliament,” Kirtskhalia added.
