GD chair optimistic about positive changes in US-Georgia relations with new ambassador

“I look forward to the new Ambassador Ms. Robin Dunnigan with optimism. I hope she will radically change the policies pursued by her predecessor Kelly Degnan”, the chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, told reporters.

As he noted the former ambassador created serious problems in Georgian-American relations.

“I am optimistic about new Ambassador Ms. Robin Dunnigan. I hope she will radically change the policies of her predecessor, Kelly Degnan. You know that the former ambassador played a very negative role in the development of Georgian-American relations; unfortunately, her activities were counterproductive. I have very high hope that the new ambassador will radically change this attitude and the Georgian-American relations will deepen even further under the conditions of her ambassadorship. This is my great desire, and I look forward to the cooperation with the new ambassador with great interest,” Kobakhidze said.
