Gakharia's party questions boycotting parties’ next move post-October 4; what does peaceful revolution mean?

“What will Levan Khabeishvili and the boycotting parties do when 4 October draws to a close? We must ask what a peaceful revolution means,” declared Rusudan Tevzadze, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.

According to her, in a politically unstable environment, every political lever must be employed so that people can distinguish between evil and good.

“October 4 is a significant date in our country’s contemporary history, because crucial matters will be decided. It will be determined whether we enter a new struggle to restore the country’s sovereignty, reclaim the privileges, initial conditions, and positions we once held. What’s particularly interesting is that the boycotting parties, including Khabeishvili, who publishes these social surveys asking who will do what. Well, when October 4 dawns and this day passes, elections will be held, the population will go to the polls and register their political position in the regions and municipalities, because I’m convinced the situation is dire. Not only in the capital, but in all regions, the situation is dire, and people are in socio-economic distress. These people need something new, something citizen-oriented, and this process will inevitably unfold in this manner.

Levan Khabeishvili and other boycotting parties, which are in opposition to the opposition, at the end of the day, what will they do when October 4 draws to a close?! What does it mean in terms of the content and narrative they’ve put forward, peaceful revolution?

This is the question we must pose. If any of them, led by Khabeishvili, gives even a minimal answer to this question precisely before October 4, there should be some answer, shouldn’t there? What do they do when the day of October 4 draws to a close? How does this day conclude?! Let them clarify what it means, and then we will likely formulate our own assessment.

It is impossible to evaluate all of this. It simply cannot be done. We hold a deep conviction that, in today’s politically unstable environment, particularly when this government has genuinely derailed us and we no longer stand on European or Western principles, we must use this political lever, this technique, and this opportunity to reach the people and demonstrate the difference between good and evil. Our path has been, is, and will continue to be a truly peaceful one. A genuinely peaceful approach involves employing any form of formal, recognised political methods,” stated Tevzadze.
