Gakharia’s Buchukuri: UNM leaders are questioned about abandoning people on Rustaveli Avenue
“Today, the leaders of the United National Movement (UNM) are being asked why they left people stranded on Rustaveli Avenue. Where were you? The majority respond with “I thought,” so that’s how peaceful protesters were abandoned to the regime,” writes Anna Buchukuri, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party, on social media.
According to Buchukuri, the greatest failure of her party is that these opinions have now become mainstream.
“Our biggest personal and collective failure is that the views of these politicians have become the norm, and we have been unable to persuade citizens otherwise. Now, either we can admit our mistakes, confront our wrongdoings, and analyse them with a clear mind, or we will be forced to watch the regime, which orchestrated yet another special operation against the Georgian people on October 4, for a long time to come,” Buchukuri states.
