Gakharia for Georgia's Parulava: Other countries have no right to interfere in internal affairs, but France, US context should not be linked to Georgia
“Any state should act in the interests of the country and its citizens. Other countries have no right to interfere in internal affairs. However, the context of France or the U.S. should not be linked to Georgia, which is used by the ‘Dream’ for its propaganda,” said Giga Parulava, deputy chair of the Gakharia for Georgia party’s parliamentary faction.
According to Parulava, the party is not against the Transparency Law, but the government uses the law for repression.
“The ‘Dream’ divides people into adversaries and friends; that’s what makes the difference. A sovereign state should be concerned about the fate of its country and its citizens, not about maintaining power for the government. The ‘Dream’ uses the relationship between France and America for its propaganda,” he said.
French President Emmanuel Macron said France would not bow to pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump and scrap its digital tax on U.S. tech giants. Asked if he would yield to the tariff threats, Macron responded that the U.S. does not decide the legislation of the French people , saying: “No, because that is not how it works.”
