Gakharia for Georgia's Liluashvili: GD faces acute legitimacy crisis, despite Papuashvili's claims
“No matter what Shalva Papuashvili says about the functioning of the illegitimate parliament, the truth remains clear: today, the Georgian Dream grapples with a severe legitimacy crisis,” stated Beka Liluashvili, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.
“Papuashvili’s statements serve as a testament to how desperately he attempts to engage with a society haunted by a self-justification complex. It’s evident from the parliamentary podium that meaningful dialogue cannot occur within an illegitimate parliament. Instead, he resorts to an epistolary style, offering an alternative narrative to the public. If he continues down this path, I firmly believe he will fail to address the self-justification needs of the populace.
Regardless of what Papuashvili claims about the parliament’s effectiveness, one undeniable truth persists: the Georgian Dream faces an acute legitimacy problem. Even with his extensive experience in NGOs or his eloquent rhetoric, Papuashvili cannot mask the truth with falsehoods or misrepresent lies as reality. His posts and creative endeavours do not create a legitimacy crisis; they arise primarily from the concerns of Georgian society and the international community.
As a result, neither entity recognises him nor the institution as legitimate. Therefore, Papuashvili’s delusions and cascade of fabrications—whether expressed in a post or on television—cannot alter this reality,” Liluashvili concluded.
