French FM: Georgian people’s aspirations towards European path to be respected
“We want to allow the aspiration of the Georgian people to move forward towards the European path,” French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated on Georgia ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg.
According to Jean-Noël Barrot, they wish this aspiration to be respected.
“We will have a discussion on Georgia. We want to allow the aspiration of the Georgian people to move forward towards the European path to be respected. This is the spirit in which we are discussing and we are addressing the Georgian authorities,” Jean-Noël Barrot has stated.
The EU Foreign Affairs Council is convening in Luxembourg today, chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. The primary topics on the agenda for the EU foreign ministers include the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, developments in Moldova, the EU’s relations with the Indo-Pacific region, and the situation in Sudan. A press conference will be held at the conclusion of the meeting, scheduled for 16:45 Tbilisi time.
