Freedom Square criticizes Strong Georgia for participating in elections
The party Freedom Square has issued a statement expressing disagreement with the decision of the Strong Georgia coalition to participate in the upcoming elections.
“We do not agree with Strong Georgia’s decision to take part in the so-called elections. While it is their choice, it carries political risks for the broader opposition,” the statement reads.
Despite the disagreement, Freedom Square emphasized it will not engage in internal opposition disputes.
“Our main opponent remains the Russian-backed Georgian Dream. We will focus on organizing an active boycott and promoting an alternative, democratic, and inclusive political process. All our resources will be directed toward this goal.”
Strong Georgia has confirmed its participation in the local elections. In the 2024 parliamentary elections, Freedom Square was part of the Strong Georgia coalition, alongside Lelo.
