Frank-Walter Steinmeier: Georgia is attractive destination for German tourists
“Georgia is a very attractive destination for German tourists,” – the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier said at a joint press conference after the meeting with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili.
Speaking about Georgian-German relations, Steinmeier emphasized the years of Georgian-German cooperation, noting that it was very successful.
“We spoke about the years of Georgian-German cooperation, the years of friendship between Georgia and Germany, in 2017-2018, which passed with great success. I would like to emphasize that During these years, for the first time all the wealth of Georgian-German relations has been manifested. Many Georgian writers have also appeared in the context of the Frankfurt Book Fair”, – Steinmeier said.
According to him, German newspapers and magazines have a lot of reports about Georgia.
“Almost every newspaper or magazine writes about Georgian literature, culture, and also recommends travelers to visit Georgia, for example, to arrive in Svaneti or attend vintage in Kakheti. Georgia is a very attractive destination for German tourists, and I am convinced that the number of tourists in Georgia will increase next year, ” – said the German President.
