For Georgia's Sharashidze urges everyone not to use Independence Day for their political interests

“We have nothing in common with the creators of the irresponsible provocation of October 4th and will never have,” said Giorgi Sharashidze, MP of the Gakharia for Georgia party.

According to Sharashidze, Independence Day of Georgia should not be used for political interests and purposes.

“We have nothing in common with the creators of the irresponsible provocation of October 4th, and will never have. What happened on October 4 was an entirely irresponsible provocation, which, instead of strengthening, weakened the opposition and empowered the Georgian Dream.

For us, May 26 is Georgia’s Independence Day, a day of unity and any attempt to cause conflict and split the unity of the Georgian people is unacceptable. I urge everyone not to use the glorified celebration, such as Georgia’s Independence Day, for political interests. Let them choose any other day and do what they want alongside their supporters,” Sharashidze said.
