For Georgia aims for independent election participation, no plans for alliances

Mikheil Daushvili, the opposition For Georgia party member, has stated that his party intends to participate independently in the elections without forming alliances with other political groups.

Daushvili emphasized that the party’s primary goal is to work towards transforming the ruling Georgian Dream party into the opposition.

“I don’t know how Khazaradze plans to cooperate with Melia, but this partnership is not a recent development. Khazaradze previously offered to be Melia’s deputy in local government elections.

Our party will maintain its independence, refraining from forming alliances with any political group. Our singular focus is participating in the elections as an autonomous force. We are indifferent to ranking positions; our objective is to push our country toward negotiations with the European Union. Above all, we strive to facilitate the transformation of the Georgian Dream into the opposition,” Daushvili said.
