We work dynamically in Georgia-EU bilateral formats, and we will use the opportunity to talk about it at the upcoming conference in Germany, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, before the start of the EU enlargement conference in Germany.

Ilia Darchiashvili believes it is significant that Georgia participates in the ongoing discussions in Germany.

“The reform process is not a one-year or two-year phase. It requires constant efforts and years to implement and continue reform in all directions. We have been implementing the reform agenda with this logic for years. Georgia has done a lot of work to have tangible results in the EC’a 12-point recommendation implementation. We have taken these steps, and accordingly, we know and think that the country has done very important and valuable work. Of course, on the one hand, we work dynamically in Georgia-EU bilateral formats, and on the other hand, we work actively with our partners in the member states in a bilateral format. We will use this opportunity to elaborate on this work,” said Darchiashvili.

Georgia is committed to European integration, we are consistently getting closer to the European Union, and we are optimistic that Georgia will succeed on this path, the Georgian Foreign Minister went on to say, adding Georgia is ready to move to a new stage in the way of relations with the European Union.

Ilia Darchiashvili thanked his German counterpart for uttering about Georgia’s European future.

According to him, it is crucial that the conference addressed the enlargement package’s importance and the European Union’s role in the direction of Eastern European integration.
