FM meets US Army General in Munich

Ilia Darchiashvili, Georgian Foreign Minister met Christopher Gerard Cavoli, US Army General who serves as the Head of United States European Command, within the framework of the Munich Security Conference (MSC).

Georgia-US strategic partnership-related issues were discussed at the meeting.

Georgian FM accentuated the regional security threats and the situation across the occupied territories. He focused on the increased role of the Black Sea region taking into account security and economic aspects.

The US General reiterated unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and foreign priorities.
