“The UNESCO General Assembly has commenced in Samarkand today. Tomorrow will feature political debates during which we will have the opportunity to discuss Georgia’s cooperation with UNESCO, the global importance of Georgia’s cultural heritage, and our joint efforts in the field of education,” stated Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili.

According to her, this gathering presents a valuable opportunity to once again draw the international community’s attention to cultural heritage and educational issues.

“We wish to emphasise the reform initiatives announced, which need to be implemented to ensure that our education system better meets modern demands,” the Minister added.
