FM highlights importance of PM’s participation in Copenhagen economic discussions
“The European Political Community (EPC) format addresses all key issues affecting the European region. It is crucial that Georgia’s Prime Minister participates in discussions on economic matters,” said Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, in connection with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s visit to Denmark.
Maka Botchorishvili emphasised that this format offers an excellent opportunity for meetings and dialogue with representatives from various countries on matters vital to Europe.
“The European Political Community has become an important platform for European leaders, where they discuss critical regional issues. It is crucial for Georgia to be involved in these conversations, and for our Prime Minister to participate in discussions on economic topics. Overall, this is the best forum for meetings, networking, and addressing issues of European significance,” Botchorishvili added.
She also noted France’s drug trafficking initiative within this format, which Georgia supports.
“There are various initiatives in this platform, addressing not only security but also economic development across Europe. France proposed a joint effort among European countries to combat drug trafficking, and Georgia has expressed its support for this initiative. It’s a very important issue for us. Recently, significant work has been carried out on drug prevention and control, and France’s initiative aligns with our priorities, and we support it,” she explained.
