FM Botchorishvili reaffirms Georgia’s commitment to reset relations with United States during meeting with U.S. State Department official
Peter Andreoli, a representative of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, met with Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, during his working visit to Georgia.
The two officials discussed the United States’ engagement in the South Caucasus region and the current developments shaping the area.
Their conversation also covered various aspects of Georgia-U.S. cooperation.
A key topic was the Middle Corridor and Georgia’s vital role as a regional connector and transport hub.
The meeting reaffirmed the United States’ strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its policy of non-recognition.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Minister Botchorishvili once again expressed Georgia’s unwavering desire and readiness to reset and strengthen its relations with the United States and to renew the strategic partnership.
