FM Botchorishvili meets UN-accredited permanent representatives on working visit to Georgia

On April 16, 2026, Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with permanent representatives accredited to the United Nations who are currently in Georgia on a working visit.

During the meeting, the Minister spoke about the principal priorities of Georgia’s foreign policy, the reforms underway and already implemented within the country, as well as the economic opportunities Georgia has to offer.

Particular attention was devoted to the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories. The discussions also touched on developments taking place across the wider region.

The parties examined questions of cooperation within the framework of the United Nations, as well as Georgia’s engagement in the international community’s collective efforts to address global challenges.

During their visit, the UN-accredited permanent representatives visited the occupation line near the village of Khurvaleti and called on the internally displaced persons’ settlement in Tserovani.
