FM Botchorishvili: Georgia faces challenges, fights for its, regional stability, security

“Georgia fights for its and regional stability and security,”  said Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili addressing the annual Dubrovnik Forum.

According to the FM, partners should acknowledge the challenges facing Georgia. She said the forum provided an excellent opportunity to communicate with colleagues, with the aim of sharing Georgia’s stance and discussing Georgia-related issues.

“Our priority is to familiarize the colleagues with goals on the agenda for Georgia, that Georgia fights for its and regional stability and security. Our partners should acknowledge the challenges facing Georgia.

Also, during the discussions, we will have the opportunity to talk about the role that Georgia has in the region in terms of connecting Europe and Asia. This is one of the actual topics reviewed within the framework of the forum and Georgia, as one of the participant countries of the Middle Corridor project, has to play a key role. It is in this direction that we are invited and we will have the opportunity to present our capabilities and priorities,” she said.

Dubrovnik hosts over 400 high-level guests this week for the 18th Dubrovnik Forum, taking place on July 11 and 12 under the title “Channeling the Change”. The conference brought together foreign ministers, senior officials, and experts from across the globe to discuss the world’s most pressing geopolitical, security, and economic issues.
