First Vice Speaker Volski says Lelo's Elisashvili send clear message to those who pursue sabotage
“Aleko Elisashvili’s remarks are not driven by emotion or influenced by it; rather, they represent a specific plan, a deliberate message from a political figure participating in the elections,” stated Gia Volski, First Vice-Speaker of Parliament.
According to Volski, this serves as a firm warning to those determined to promote a regime of sabotage and who are planning to incite clashes on the streets of Tbilisi.
“As for such an appeal to city hall services and the message directed at them, it indicates a fundamental misunderstanding of the city’s administration and its dedicated staff, who serve the city around the clock. While employees at city hall may hold different political views, none of them wish to see their city destroyed, regardless of the insensible statements we have recently heard,” Volski emphasised.
One of the leaders of Lelo-Strong Georgia, Aleko Elisashvili, declared on TV Pirveli that “if we wake up in Tbilisi where Kupradze is mayor and the opposition has a majority in the council, these people will face despair, Kupradze will come out the next day and say, well then, go organise strikes, fight! Imagine municipal services going on strike.”
