First Channel to broadcast documentary prepared by Investigation Reporter

On June 19, First Channel will broadcast a documentary prepared by Investigation Reporter about Khorava Street murder that claimed lives of two juveniles on December, 1, 2017.

The Executive Council released a statement in that regard. “The information, as if the documentary about Khorava Street, is being blocked circulating during one month is absurd. Due to the fact that the topic is sensitive, we are refraining from answering argument-lacking accusations. Allegation that First Channel is hiding something is excluded.

The documentary has been sent to several non-governmental organizations, Public Defender, Board of Trustees of Public Broadcaster and Parliamentary Interim Investigation Commission. The ado is amounted to put the public in misleading.

On June 18, Giorgi Gvimradze, Director of News and Currenct Affairs met with Zaza Saralidze, father of Davit Saralidze, one of the juveniles killed at Khorava Street, and family lawyer Nestan Londaridze to talk about the film “Boys from Khorava Street Dumped in Blood.”

It was first said that the film violated Code of Conduct. However, the corresponding service of Public Service received consent of Parliamentary Commission as well as from other organizations to broadcasting the film,” reads the statement.
