Finance Minister meets with IMF Fiscal Affairs Department Chief Vitor Gaspar

During the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili met with Vitor Gaspar, the Head of the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, whose term concludes at the end of October.

The Finance Minister expressed his gratitude to Vitor Gaspar for his support of Georgia and for the fruitful collaboration with the Ministry of Finance over the years.

The meeting was also attended by the incoming Head of the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, Rodrigo Valdes. Lasha Khutsishvili conveyed his hope that, under his leadership, the country’s support for fiscal reforms will continue seamlessly.

Representing Georgia on the occasion were Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze and Georgian Ambassador to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili.
