Federalists’ Chergoleishvili: We have no idea of Paata Burchuladze’s plans; we’ve sanitary cordon around him
“We have no idea what Paata Burchuladze is doing. We have built a sanitary cordon around him,” Tamar Chergoleishvili, a founding member of the Federalists Party, stated over Rustave Avenue movement leader, Paata Burchuladze’s recent plans.
Chergoleishvili commented on Burchuladze and his remarks regarding October 4.
“We are deeply concerned about his stance towards organised crime and the so-called ‘thieves in law.’ Our fight is against organised crime, against the thieves in law, and for giving ordinary citizens the chance to engage in politics. I am not entering politics to seize power; I want to improve the lives of the Georgian people.
We are confident that progress cannot be achieved through fraternising with criminals. That’s why we’ve drawn a clear line with him. We will be on the streets on October 2, 3, and 4. We believe that street protest is the only way forward, but we do not set strict deadlines; our ultimate goal is victory. When we succeed, everyone will see it,” Chergoleishvili stated.
