Federalists' Chergoleishvili rejects responsibility for acts involving "October 4 grenade-wielding monkeys"
“This magnificent rally was organised by responsible, democratic parties and forces who, on the one hand, refused to collaborate with the regime in the farce called the October 4 elections, and on the other, distanced themselves from that reckless, catastrophic adventure that Mikheil Saakashvili and his band of conscienceless minions inflicted upon the Georgian people,” wrote Tamar Chergoleishvili, leader of the Federalists Party, on social media.
“We have participated in, and will continue to participate in, any political endeavour on the condition that we only engage with democratic forces and not with autocrats. The reason is simple: autocracy and democracy are mutually exclusive.
No narcissistic autocrat will hijack our agenda any longer, neither with posters plastered with photos of Misha, nor with that gang of eight. I’ll publicly confront, in front of the cameras, every flag-waving idiot who tries to hijack someone else’s agenda with Saakashvili photos. And I’ll do so gladly, on behalf of myself and my party.
The hydra that blocks Georgia’s fulfilment of its historic mission has several autocratic heads; I’ll happily sever them all, and the Georgian people will thank me for it. This I believe, and so it shall be.
P.S. That means, wherever you shove that narcissistic warlord in my face, I’ll overturn him everywhere,” writes Chergoleishvili.
Additionally, Chergoleishvili posted another message on social media, in which she states that “everyone has the right to make mistakes together with the UNM”.
“The UNM has ignited a major confrontation, but even if you intimidate all parties involved, it will remain as I have stated: you, autocrats, will not be able to interfere in the process for which the Federalists have assumed political responsibility.
We have not earned a reputation, both at home and abroad, to allow irresponsible adventurers to squander it. We simply will not take responsibility for anything involving those October 4 grenade-wielding monkeys.
A new project will be launched soon, and the creators of the ‘SSSG special operation’ (by their own admission) will not be involved either. Of course, everyone has the right to make mistakes with the UNM; we simply will not be there,” Chergoleishvili states.
