FARA document says UNM paid USD 360 thousand to Nelson Mullins lobbying company

The document required by the Foreign Agents Registration Act of the US Department of Justice reads that the Unity National Movement (UNM) party hired Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough lobbying company.

The document published on July 11 reads that the UNM paid USD 360,000 to the company and indicates Petre Tsiskarishvi, the UNM Secretary General, as Foreign Principal.

The agreement with the lobbyist company envisages: “Advocacy before the Government of the United States. Provide advice and assistance to support the Unity National Movement’s diplomatic activities in the United States. Assist Unity National Movement’s efforts to ensure free and fair elections in the Republic of Georgia.”

The lobbying company actively funds the political campaigns of congressional and presidential candidates of both parties in the United States, including South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson.
