Ex-president Saakashvili: We retreated before; now we have to force them to retreat, gather to disband them

“We retreated before, but now we must compel them to retreat. Up to now, we have been gathering and dispersing; now, we are gathering to disband them,” wrote jailed former president Mikheil Saakashvili on Facebook.

According to Saakashvili, the Georgian people should demonstrate strong will.

“Previously, we were in a state of anticipation, waiting for a response. Now, we will respond and make all necessary decisions. Until now, we have relied on goodwill; now, we will demonstrate firm resolve. We retreated, while fighting, in the face of force; now, we must compel them to retreat. Previously, we were gathering and dispersing; now, we are gathering to disband them,” he wrote.
