Ex-President Saakashvili claims those calling for halt serve Ivanishvili’s interests; when victory is near, halt is unacceptable
“Anyone calling for a halt now is serving Ivanishvili’s interests. Stopping at this point, when victory is within reach, is simply unacceptable,” wrote former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili on social media.
According to Saakashvili, there is an attempt to replace the very essence of Georgian identity.
“Those who are now calling for a halt are serving Ivanishvili’s interests. I suspect their motives are not selfless. There appears to be an attempt to alter the very genetic fabric of Georgians. Stopping now, when victory is so close, is simply unacceptable. We are fighting, and we are winning! Yesterday, after months of protests, the President of Madagascar was compelled to flee the country,” wrote Mikheil Saakashvili.
