Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the parliamentary European Integration Committee, believes that the opposition’s statements in the pre-election campaigning period will lead to their defeat.

According to Makhashvili, the Georgian Dream makes real promises to the voters.

“The opposition has participants in local elections, while we have winners in the elections. This is reflected in their pre-election campaign and messages. They deliver propaganda or empty promises and use hate speech. Their policy is a direct ticket to defeat.

We have our own way – working with voters and making real promises to them. Voters have their own demands; they speak about how they imagine the country’s development, which is not related to violence, crises, and revolution.

They promise to overthrow or remove some individuals. Therefore, we believe that the Georgian Dream will win in the municipal elections,” he said.
