European Basketball Championship kicks off - Live Broadcasts on GPB's First Channel, First Channel Sport #1TVSPORT

he European Basketball Championship, commonly referred to as EuroBasket, kicks off on August 27. Four countries – Latvia, Poland, Cyprus and Finland will host the championships. The GPB’s First Channel and First Channel Sports will provide live broadcasts of the matches.

Twenty-four teams will contend, divided into 4 groups. Following the group stage matches, the 16 best teams will continue the fight in the playoffs. C Group host Cyprus is the only debutant in this championship.

Georgia will play in C Group, facing Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Latvia and Turkey will play the first match in Riga. The GPB’s First Channel and First Channel Sports will live transmit the match at 7 p.m.

EuroBasket is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially by the senior men’s national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe.
