EU, UK, US sanctions officials visit Sadakhlo customs checkpoint

EU Sanctions Envoy David O’Sullivan, Head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination at the US State Department, Ambassador James O’Brien, and Director General, Economics, Science and Technology at the UK Foreign Office, Kumar Iyer, on Thursday, visited the Sadakhlo customs checkpoint.

Deputy Head of Revenue Service, Vladimer Khundadze, and Head of Customs Department, Zurab Sichinava informed them of customs formalities and risk profiles.

According to the Revenue Service, the parties discussed the existing partnership between Georgia, the United States, and the European Union in support of the enforcement of international sanctions against Russia and talked about the importance of deepening future cooperation.
