Foreign Relations Committee Chair meets US Assistant Secretary of State

Nikololoz Samkharadze, Chair of the Georgian parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, met James O’Brien, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Josh Huck, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State overseeing Policy for Southern Europe and the Caucasus, and Mark Cameron, Director of the US State Department’s Office of Caucasus Affairs and Regional Conflicts within the framework of the official visit to the United States.

During the meeting, the officials discussed Georgia’s integration into the European Union and NATO, the 2024 pre-election environment, the bill On Transparency of Foreign Influence, the ongoing processes in the country, and Georgia-US relations.

The sides also spoke about the July NATO Washington Summit.

The Foreign Relations Committee delegation comprises Chair Nikoloz Samkharadze, Deputy Chair Davit Zilpimiani and a member Ramaz Nikolaishvili.
