EU-Georgia Association Council kicks off in Brussels 

The 8th meeting of the EU-Georgia Association Council kicked off in Brussels, Belgium. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze leads the Georgian delegation.

The PM met the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell ahead of the meeting. Irakli Kobakhidze, Josep Borrell and the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi will hold a joint press conference following the meeting.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze departed for Brussels on his first visit on February 19. The PM will meet the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg and participate in the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting within the framework of his visit to Brussels.

The Georgian delegation comprises the First Vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili; Vice Prime Minister and the Defense Minister, Irakli Chikovani; Foreign Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili; and the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, Tea Akhvlediani.
