“The main and the very first advantage of the April 19 Agreement was to see the political discussions continuing in the parliament. This is very important for the country’s democracy,” said EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell.

The EU Ambassador said discussions taking place in the parliament was significant for making decisions about different issues and for responding to the challenges facing the country.

“I truly hope that the spirit of keeping the discussion within the parliament will be kept,” Carl Hartzell claimed.

MP Mamuka Khazaradze said earlier on Wednesday that if the ruling Georgian Party continued forcing the process of appointment of the Supreme Court judges, members of Lelo-Partnership for Georgia faction would quit the parliamentary work. MP Kakha Okriashvili of the United National Movement also called on the opposition to boycott the parliament.
