ESCO warns about fake news disseminated by some media outlets

The Electricity Market Operator ESCO states that the Georgian Co-Investment Fund has never owned its shares.
“Some media outlets are disseminating fake news in this regard. ESCO is a fully state-owned joint-stock company,” JSC Electricity System Commercial Operator ESCO said in a statement on Thursday.
The company claims that it has served for the stability and the development of the Georgian energy sector since 2006.
“We emphasize that electricity trade is not a profitable activity for ESCO. Company purchases and sells electricity at the same price”, the statement reads.
