Dutch designer Erik van Vliet will work on a new design of the Tbilisi Zoo. As the Zoo administration says, the designer arrived in Tbilisi a few days ago.

What will change in the new zoo? – Our guest gave an interesting answer: In old zoos, people had less respect for animals. They would glance at the monkeys locked up in cells, laughed at it and said to each other – look at it, it’s your relative.

In new concept zoos, where animals have a large space, there are no barriers, and animals live in an environment close to nature. People are more attracted to them. Instead of telling jokes, they observe and explore more,’ the Tbilisi Zoo reports.

Erik van Vliet worked for the zoos in Holland, Italy, Belgium, Hungary, Israel, etc. He first visited Georgia after the flood.
