Education Minister meets French Ambassador
Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs Givi Mikanadze met with the newly appointed French Ambassador to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud.
The Minister wished the Ambassador success in his future endeavors and remarked that Georgia and France were linked by productive cooperation.
Givi Mikanadze provided the Israeli Ambassador with information about the main directions of the fundamental reform of higher education in Georgia, which was presented to society by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The sides reviewed cooperation expansion prospects, including offering innovation projects to young people, implementation of joint scientific-research projects, and strengthening French language teaching at Georgian schools.
For his part, the French Ambassador spoke about the significance of the Franco-Georgian University operating in Georgia in terms of popularizing the French language and culture.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister and Ambassador pledged readiness to deepen the partnership in the future.
