Economy Minister: PM to highlight Georgia’s role in Middle Corridor and connectivity at UN conference
“The Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with international leaders during the upcoming UN Conference,” Mariam Kvrivishvili, Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, announced.
Kvrivishvili explained that the Prime Minister will deliver a speech emphasising the importance of connectivity and Georgia’s strategic role, particularly within the Middle Corridor.
“Leaders from various countries, along with the Georgian government headed by the Prime Minister, will participate in the UN conference. As part of this event, we will conduct bilateral meetings with several international counterparts. In his speech, the Prime Minister of Georgia will underscore our country’s commitment to enhancing connectivity, our pivotal role in the Middle Corridor, and the key projects underway to bolster our transit and logistics capabilities. These initiatives include the construction of highways, the Anaklia port development, the new international airport, and other ongoing and planned projects, all aimed at strengthening Georgia’s position within the Middle Corridor and boosting regional connectivity,” said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze travelled to attend the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) with a delegation consisting of Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
